Anthony needs your vote!

Anthony took these pictures and wants to enter one in an art contest at school! The problem is, he can't decide which one he likes the best! The theme is "WOW!" Which picture do you think is the best? He has a month until he has to turn it in, so we might go a few other places, but these are his top two for now! He took them in Little Cottonwood Canyon.

Pictures of the Against Abuse Shelter Project

Against Abuse Shelter

http://www.zwire.com/site/news.cfm?newsid=20134369&BRD=1817&PAG=461&dept_id=68561&rfi=8

Hi
I was privledged to help with an amazing project, off and on for about 3 year. I spent 3 days recently, helping decorate and clean, the actual shelter. Our ward donated 15 quilts, some that you can see in the pictures. Everyone who went in the nursery cried. Sad a place like this is needed but cool they have a place like this to go.

Ryan- age 7 1/2- 2nd grade

I took my boys up into Provo Canyon on Monday and took some pictures of them. I thought I'd share the pictures as well as a little bit about each one!
Ryan will be 8 in April! He's growing up fast, (he's up to my arm pits) but he still takes time to snuggle with me! He loves to play video games, ride his bike, and do whatever Michael is doing!

Anthony- age 10- 5th grade

Anthony turned 10 last month. His favorite things to do include riding bike, playing video games, drawing, and begging me to let him use my camera! He's got 6 inches to go until he's as tall as me! He's a HUGE Boise State football fan! Go Broncos!

Michael- age 11 1/2- 6th grade

Michael will be 12 in March! He's only got 3 1/2 inches to go until he's as tall as me! His feet are already bigger than mine! He's very active and can usually be found riding his bike or hanging out at the park with his friends after school.

My UPS Job

I have two shifts at work with a lunch inbetween and I have a picture of what I do on each of those shifts. My first shift goes from 5-9:30 PM in which I work the Sort Aisle. I have someone who unloads packages from a trailer which are sent across a conveyor belt and down a slide to me where I take them and sort them by state and zip code to the conveyor belts behind me as shown in the first picture. I have to sort them at a rate of 1,000+ packages per hour which means only three seconds for each package. You really have to know the material to be able to keep up with this rate.
My second shift goes from 10:30-3:00 where I am still sorting packages, but this time it is just for the packages in the Salt Lake area. We have what we call the boxline where we sort the packages by zip code into the boxes. This time it is easier because we have little labels put on the box which tells us which color and what level to put the packages in. The boxline has 155 sets of boxes that are on wheels that slowly move by. We prepare the people in the sunrise shift with these packages where they load them into the fameous brown trucks that deliver them. Our volume should start increasing until the end of the year to be really heavy in December. Last year I averaged fifteen hours of overtime each week.
Well, that is a sumary of how things go at my work. Oh yeah, I received the Employee of the Month award last night at work.

Ryan's Blessing

We had Ryan's baby blessing yesterday.   It was very nice.  I had a lot of family support there, which was wonderful.  My mom made the blessing outfit, and it looks pretty handsome on him, if I do say so myself.

Best Friends

After our long walk this morning my dogs were tired enough that they actually sat down next to each other without trying to chew on each other's ears. Stephanie and I went to the Fair last night and had a good time. Things are going well.

In Memory Of

This was taken by the Sandy City Hall today. They call it the Healing Field. There are over 2000 flags! They put them there every Sept. 11 in memory of those who lost their lives on Sept. 11, 2001. The yellow ribbons that you can see on some of the flag poles have stickers on them with the name of a soldier from Utah that died in combat. It's very touching!
As a lot of you know, I'm VERY patriotic! I'm proud to be the 4th Great-granddaughter of a member of the Mormon Battalion, the Great-granddaughter of a WWI vet, the Granddaughter of a WWII vet and the Daughter of a Air Force, Special Ops. vet! This country means a lot to me! Thanks to all the men and women who have fought to keep it free! GOD BLESS AMERICA!
Thanks to Aunt Janet for telling me about the Healing Field!

Mary & DJ's Family

I finally remembered to bring my SD card and reader with me! Here is a few pictures from the summer!

Taylor Association

Hi
This is a website with stories about the Taylor's. There isn't anything about Jed Taylor or Margaret, but there is about our other Taylor ancestor's.

http://www.taylorassociation.org/

Just a brief history of our family.

Gail Taylor son of Jed Taylor, son of Joseph Alan Taylor, son of Joseph Taylor (who served in the Mormon Batalion) son of William Taylor. Will get more if you're interested. There are some cool histories to read, and pictures. It's well worth checking out!

Fun at the Utah State Fair!

On Friday, we took the kids to the State Fair. The kids really liked seeing the animals, especially the sheep. But they had the most fun riding the rides. Bradley was big enough to go on all the kiddie rides by himself, but Olivia needed an adult to ride with her.(Although she didn't think so!) We rode the slide about 15 times, and then went through a couple fun-houses. Bradley was just barely big enough to go on some of the adult rides, so I took him on a hangliding one. Olivia just screamed the whole time because she wanted to ride too. There was a FFA exhibit and the kids got to be a "farmer". Before we left, we let the kids play one of the games and they both won a prize.

My Little Tomato Plant

This year I planted my first garden.  I got a tomato plant from my bishopric for Mother's Day, and put it in my garden.  This is that plant.  I don't know what we did to it, but this is only one tomato plant.  I've never seen one this big!  How big do they normally get?

Carma and Roy Prete Decendants

I hope everybody likes this, I am also going to slightly modify it for the Prete Happy Land Logo as a better logo. (That's why everyone is smiling or doing something goofy.)

From, Anna

P.S. I made this on Microsoft Publisher- I love Publisher.(I copied it onto Paint for it to work on a blog.)
