Post Below

If you click on the picture of Grandpa Taylor (Jed) it will enlarge, so you can SEE Grandpa. It's VERY COOL!!! If you want a copy, let me know and we can make that happen! I am very excited to get this!!!!

And anyone know if it's a Model A or Model T that he's standing by????

Jed Taylor

Jeremy got this picture from Raylene, Sunday. It was in a photo album. Dad must have given it to LaDean. It's a picture of Grandpa Taylor (Jed) taken in 1920. Remember, Dad was born in 1919. Another man is labeled as Lou Felt. Not sure who that is.

What a cool picture!!!!

Just to let everyone know what's been going on lately, I have been working on a project for work that has had me traveling to New Hampshire, and California for the last 3 months. It has been pretty tough being on the road, and away from my family, and I know it has been tough on them too. I have 3 more weeks to go, and then I get to stay home. Last weekend, Amanda flew out to meet me in California, and we spent 3 days exploring San Francisco (without kids). It was like a second honeymoon! We did all the tourist things, like riding cable cars, and visiting the Golden Gate Bridge, and Alcatraz. We also checked out the Fishermans Wharf area and had some great seafood. We took a tour to Muir Woods and saw Giant Redwoods that were over 1000 years old. Here are some pictures of the trip.

Albuquerque

Chris, Chandler, and Brooke are moving to Albuquerque on March 26, 2009. Chris got the job with United Healthcare and we're off quickly. We are going to find renters for the upstairs house and leave Mona and Esther in the basement. We are very excited and nervous. It will definitely be an adventure.

So, if you want to come and see the Balloon Festival in October - Chris works across the street from Balloon Fiesta Park. Schedule of Events.

My last day of work will be March 25 and we leave town on March 26. We still have a bit of work on the house, but I did get the flowers planted yesterday. Hopefully, they'll come up really well. And our house will look cute if we decide to sell it.

Thank you for all of your thoughts and prayers on our behalf. This has been an incredible lesson on Faith, Prayer, and Fasting. I'll share the whole story - as soon as it's written down - which I should have much more time to do after we move. I'm excited to have room to finish some of the quilts that my mom started a million years ago. I also need to reback the quilt that I got from Grandma. Great memories!

Well - I'm off to work and pack... but for now, lunch sounds great.

GREAT Books

First here are some pictures of the GREAT kids books that Paul, James (the VERY advanced 1st grade reader) and I (Anna) LOVE!
The first four are a series. The other three all put together are also a series.

These books are GREAT! We love them. The Fablehaven series is about two kids, Seth and Kendra Sorenson, who journey to their grandpa's house that they hardly ever see. They
soon find that their grandpa is running a magical preserve, or forest with creatures and magic of all kinds. Each book Fablehaven becomes in danger of failing and being taken over by evil forces and each time it gets harder for them to save Fablehaven. If this doesn't sound convincing, then READ THE BOOK anyway! These books are great. The fourth book comes out March 24. To go to the website, go to www.fablehaven.com

Now I'll tell you about the Percy Jackson & The Olympians series. When Percy Jackson is told that he is a half-blood, which is half god and half human, much danger suddenly arises. In the series Percy and Annabeth go on quests that save the gods, themselves, and etc. I haven't read all the books yet, but I am already hypnotized in the first one. We love them. Paul and James have already finished the series and I hope to do so by May 5 when "The Last Olympian" comes out. To go to his website, here it is. www.rickriordan.com .

If you love these books too, comments welcome!

Twin Trickery

Since there are lots of twins in the Taylor family, I thought I would post about how the four year old twins in the Bryner family are already learning the art of pretending to be each other! Pierce will start it by saying he's Garrett and then Garrett catches on and says he's Pierce. They start giggling and laughing a lot and its usually really obvious who they are- especially since I can tell them upart (unlike some people, um, my dad :)-actually he's not too bad at it anymore but they have tricked him with this trick once or twice until they started laughing). So what about the other twins in the family? Let's hear some stories about twin trickeries. Luckily, for us, they usually only do it when we are getting ready for church and it stops as soon as Garrett (who is acting as Pierce) hears my dad say ,"Pierce, put your shoes on". Then Garrett confesses he's not Pierce. Pierce and Garrett are advancing a lot right now and becoming more smart by the second. It's really cute. So, speaking of twins- HAPPY BIRTHDAY to all the twins with birthdays this month, and HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ROBERT AND JEREMY especially since it's their birthday today!
