For Rochelle

Looks like you've got someone on your side today, Rochelle...

Allie insisted on having her nails painted today... not only that but in bright orange and blue, even despite my protests.... (just kidding, I didn't protest)

At least she said she doesn't like the color red. That made my day to have someone as girly as Allie not like red.

Well, good luck Broncos! I'm sure we'll hear all about it on the blog. :)

Happy 5th Birthday Olivia

Today is Olivia's 5th birthday. She is a spunky little monkey and loves to climb, tumble and wrestle with her brother. She is definetly a daddy's girl through and through.

Christmas bells are ringing...and maybe some wedding bells too!!

I'm getting married to Brian Kohrman on February 18th in the Salt Lake Temple!!! Woo hoo!!!! I give all of you permission to facebook stalk him!!

SHE IS HERE!

Miriam Beverly Pearson was born this morning at 4:45 in Provo, 6 pounds 5 ounces 18 1/2 inches tall, with a full head of dark hair. Can't wait to see pictures!

Grandma's Carmel Recipe

I used the carmel to cover apples - or rolled with nuts. Sometimes, I just don't make the nougat part. At any rate - YUMMY!

Happy Birthday Bradley

Today Bradley turned 8. I am amazed every time Bradley does more grown up thing, or shows more maturity. Bradley is a whiz at math. He is on the highest level in his class, and he helps the kids that are in the lower levels learn the "tricks." He is quite a helpful and wonderful little boy!

Abigail Elizabeth Haroldsen

Taylor Jean

I can't believe my baby's 1! She turned 1 on Sept. 22.

I also want to wish a Happy Birthday to everyone else who had a Birthday this month! I know Craig, Danny, Debbie, and Aunt Betty have Sept. Birthdays! Anyone else?

Teddy Bear Kids 1K

Today we ran in the Teddy Bear Kids 1k in South Jordan. Both Bradley and Olivia were very excited to run. Bradley's strategy was burst of speed mixed with walking. While Olivia was quite shocking, she has a stamina of a runner. She ran the whole course.

After the race all the kids got medals for finishing the race. They also got to pick out stuffed animals (the teddy bear part). If that wasn't enough incentive they also had a raffle drawing where they called the number of the racers bibs for prizes. Both Bradley and Olivia won new toys! A lot of business had booths to promote healthiness and were giving out prizes and treats. Amanda's work (University Health Care) was there too.

Another Wedding

Just letting you know Robert is getting married to Mandy Lynn Foster. Not sure the date yet, but will probably take place in Charleston, or Goose Creek, South Carolina, before the end of the year! We are very excited and happy for them both!

It's a girl!

Reunion fun

Thank to all who came to the reunion. We had 58 people there on Saturday and everyone who came and camped or did not had a good time. I think that there were almost 4. who were there Fri night. I understand who couldn't come because of going to the funeral and at wedding or two or three. I thank my kids for helping me so much to organize and run things. Thanks to all. I look forward to the next occasion to get together.

2010 Taylor Family Reunion

Janet's family is making final preparations for the upcoming Taylor Family Reunion. We hope to see many of your smiling faces there. It will be on July 16-17, 2010 at the Alta Mont Campground, up American Fork Canyon in Utah. Directions are at the bottom of this post.

We understand that many of you have prior obligations, and with so many wedding some are just not going to make it. Still, we are hoping for a highly successful weekend. The campground has been reserved for almost a year now. Janet, Richard and Kim went up last week to see the site. It's a beautiful setting, with many already prepared tent camping areas provided. There is a large parking lot, where you can park a trailer. The center pavilion and fire pit will be the site for many-a-memories.

In order for us to know how much food by buy, we would love to hear from you. Can you come? Maybe? Sorry, not this time? Please let Janet know as soon as you can. You can email her at jmomstaxi@yahoo.com.

We have mailed out hard copy invitations, so look for them next week. If you already told us you could not make it, we may not have mailed you an invitation. If you would like one anyway, please contact Kim (coateskj@yahoo.com), and she'll send one out.

I've also attached a copy of the invitation here, for everyone to see. As it says on the flyer, we are asking that families coming for the day pay $25, and families who will be camping pay $35. That's not bad for all day entertainment for your family, including two meals.

Thanks, and we look forward to seeing you all soon!

Directions to Alta Mont Campground:

From Provo: Head north on I-15 and take exit 284 (UT-92). Turn right at the bottom of the ramp and head East. Follow the same road thru Highland and into American Fork Canyon. You will pass the Forrest Service Station ($6 per car fee) and then pass the Timpenogos Cave monument. Keep going up the canyon and watch for the signs. Altamont group campsite will be on the left side of the road. Approximately 16 miles from I-15.

Happy Birthday Papi!

Happy 60th Birthday to my Dad! (Uncle Ray to most of you... :)

Amber & Zach announcement

June 19th will be an open house shared with Adam & Cedar in Blackfoot.

June 26th will be the wedding in St. George Temple & reception in LaVerkin, Utah.

Hope to see you all there :)

Don't worry, for those of you that I have addresses, you will get a hard copy in the mail soon.

Bradley's Talent Show

Bradley has been taking piano lessons for almost a year. The first grade at his school was having a talent show and he wanted to play the piano for them. His first song is the Indian Song, the Second is My Robot.

Gail Taylor History

I have put together a history written by Grandpa Taylor. It was typed by Aunt Carma, and with the help of Dave Minch, I have scanned it, and have put in on the computer, in a book format in Microsoft Word. I have mailed a copy to "The Big 5" for you to see what they look like, you should be receiving it within a week, with Carma's traveling the furthest. I have this available on disk, and can be emailed, or I can print more out and ship them. They only cost about $5 to print and bind, and shipping depends on where to. Sending one copy from Tucson to Casa Grande, Salt Lake, and to Blackfoot cost $2.60 and to Carma in Canada was $4.73, so it is very reasonable. You also have the option of me emailing you the file and having it printed and bound on your own. Anyone who wants a copy, please let me know. You can email me at mattd.gardner@gmail.com or call me at (520)237-0408

Mother's Day

A very happy Mother's Day to all of the mothers in our family!

Updated pictures of my kids!

Taylor- 7 months old

Ryan- 9 years old

Anthony- 11 1/2

Michael- 13 years old

Time flies way too fast! Taylor has her bottom two front teeth and is mobile! She can also sit herself up and pull herself up to standing against things! Ryan is the protective big brother! He often asks Matt and I if what we're feeding Taylor is really okay for her to eat! (sometimes with Matt that's a very good question to ask!) Anthony is almost as tall as me and is getting ready to start Jr. High this coming school year! Michael is very proud to say that he's now 2 inches taller than me! He's quite the character! They're all good kids (for the most part) and I feel very blessed to be their mom!
